Dan MathesonDan began his career at a major Dallas firm in 1974, and moved to Austin in 1982. His almost 40 years of practice have been largely focused on representing business entities, entrepreneurs, and investors in a wide array of corporate and business transactions, including merger and acquisition transactions and equity and debt financing transactions. His experience spans several business sectors, both public and private, and includes serving as general counsel of an Austin-based telecommunications company that developed markets in Mexico and Central America.Before co-founding the firm in 2007, Dan was a partner/shareholder in three of Texas’ most prominent law firms.Long active in community and civic affairs, Dan has served on numerous government and charitable boards, including service as Chairman of the Board of Regents of the Texas State University System, Director of the Texas Office of State-Federal Relations, and Chairman of the Board of Mental Health America of Texas, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas, Texas Lyceum Association, and The First Tee of Greater Austin. Jane MathesonJane has almost 40 years of experience in legal practice, government service, and business management. Her legal practice– and before that, her government service – has been focused on labor and employment law, with an emphasis on OSHA and workplace safety and health issues. She authored and periodically updates the "Employee Safety and Health – Chapter 10” in James Publishing’s Texas Employment Law. Her early experience managing an organization with 38 employees and multi-million dollar budget provided unique opportunities for understanding and appreciating the challenges presented to small to medium-sized employers. Over the course of her career, Jane has been an active participant in civic and community organizations, including serving as the Executive Director of the Republican Party of Texas, Chairman of the Board of Junior Achievement of Central Texas, and a member of the Executive Committee of the University of Texas Law Alumni Association. Jerry received his J.D. degree with honors, after earning a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with honors, both from The University of Texas at Austin. Mark BradshawMark began his legal career over twenty years ago with a prominent national law firm based in California. Following ten years in its Los Angeles and San Francisco offices - with a practice focused on creditors' rights and the reorganization of distressed companies - he joined one of Silicon Valley's largest firms. In the Silicon Valley, Mark transitioned his practice to mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other corporate transactions for technology companies. In 2002 he returned to Austin, subsequently completing graduate studies in accounting. Mark joined the accounting faculty of the University of Texas at Austin in 2006, where he currently teaches courses in fraud examination, auditing and advanced financial accounting. Mark also served as Professor in Residence at a "Big Four" accounting firm. His practice is devoted primarily to corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions.
